SARASOTA FILM FESTIVAL
"Some Vacation", written/ directed by Anne Lewis, animated by jeanne Stern, and edited by Kirk-o-matic, is an official selection at the 2015 Sarasota Film Festival. It plays on April 13th and April 15th. The film has also screened at the New York Jewish Film Festival (Jan 2015), the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival (2014), and the Chicago Film festival (2014).

SXSW JURY AWARD: SOME VACATION.
I animated a short fillm titled "Some vacation." for writer/director Anne S. Lewis. The film was selected to play at SXSW, and received the Jury Award for the Texas Shorts category. The film is about the director's father, a tavelling salesman, who took the family along with him as he traveled the country selling an unusual product. ANIMATION CLASSES AT AUSTIN SCHOOL OF FILM
I'll be teaching Handmade Animation at the Austin School of film again in May. In this class students will make short handmade animations. Students will learn handmade animation techniques, including paper silhouette, hand-drawn and experimental methods. More info at the Austin School of FIlm website

FOUR CORE CHAMBERS (BERKELEY CA)
I will be showing a new video called "Doctor Foster"at the Martina} {Johnston Gallery in Berkeley, CA at a heart-themed exhibition curated by Katie Anania. Opening Saturday Sept. 7th from 4-8pm. I will be in attendance. "Doctor Foster" is a three-minute long paper puppet film.
ATLANTIC CENTER FOR THE ARTS
I have been selected as an Associate artist for the Atlantic Center for the Arts Master Artist-in-Residence program. I will have the opportunity to work with media artist, Charles Atlas, and other artists from Oct. 14th- Nov. 3rd. Thanks to Financial aid from the Joan Mitchell Foundation Scholarship Fund.
STOP & GO 3D COMES TO TEXAS
My film, The Museum of Touch & Feel, is touring in Europe and North America with Stop & Go 3D. http://www.stopandgoshow.com This fall the showcase will be coming to the Aurora Picture Show in Houston on Sept. 13th at 7:30pm, to Texas State in San Marcos on Tuesday Sept. 17th at 7pm, and to Women and their Work in Austin on Wed. Sept. 18th at 7pm. I will be attending the Austin screening.
NEVERMORE (CASPER WY)
I will be showing a selection of new works, dioramas and film, at the Casper College Goodstein Gallery in Casper Wyoming. The works center around a toad and his watery domestic life. Show runs August 26th- September 26th. Artist Lecture

HANDMADE ANIMATION: VICTORIAN GOTHIC
I am once again teaching this animation class, at
the Austin School of Film. Students will read segments of Victorian
Gothic literature and make animations inspired by it. At the Austin School of Film. Starts November 5.
LIVING SPRINGS: SPIRIT WATERS
I animated a short film for Karen Kocher's Living Springs interactive documentary about Barton Springs.
The piece is called Spirit Waters. The first screening will be Tuesday Aug. 20th at 8:30pm at Barton Springs (free).

I went to visit the Aurora Picture show in Houston. I taught a Teen Stereoscopic Workshop on 10/15, and gave an Artist Salon called Illusionary Worlds, on 10/16.
ANIMATION MEETUP- AMANDA JONES/ STEREOSCOPY
Free Installation Art/ 3D Workshop, hosted by Jeanne with Special guest artist Amanda Jones.
Amanda provided items from her "junk" collection and participants
recombined them into miniature scenes which were photographed in 3D. At
the Austin School of Film.

In June & July I taught a course on Experimental Animation at the University of Porto, Portugal.
The program is part of the collaboration between Portugal and the
University of Austin. There was a screening of student work, and
animations by internationally recognized artists, on July 16th at Passos

ARTHOUSE
This spring I have had the opportunity to
mentor a very talented young artist, Ashley Love, through Austin's Art
House. We will be showing our work on a screen together at the Advanced
Young Artists show. At Art House, opening Saturday August 6th. Details

I curated a show of animation and film for the Texas State Art Gallery in San Marcos Texas, called "Somewhere Else, Right Here".
It runs for the entire month of June and includes work by the following

3D PUPPET FILM WORKSHOP @ SXSW
I taught another 3D (stereocopic) workshop for youth
at SXSW this year. This time we shot 3D puppet videos of dioramas. The
dioramas were puppeteered using manets, brass fasteners, and other
techniques.

METHODS OF ENTANGLEMENT
The Museum of Touch & Feel is showing at "Methods of Entanglement," a multimedia show presented by Mass Gallery
and the University of Texas. For the first time the film will be shown
in full color, on a large 3D screen with polarized glasses. Opening
reception Thurs. Sept. 9th, from 7-10pm, in the TACC Visualization Laboratory at UT Austin ACES building 2.404A. For additional viewings, stop by the lab anytime, or contact Brandt Westing at the TACC Lab.

STUDENT ACADEMY AWARD
Ruth Fertig's documentary, Yizkor, which I animated, has won the Gold Student Academy Award
in the documentary catgegory. Ruth's film is based on her
grandmother's experience during the Holocaust. It combines Super 8 film,
archival footage, and animation to tell the story. The awards
ceremony will be on June 12th at the Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills
CA. The event is free and open to the public, click here for tickets.

ELSEWHERE AT ELSEWHERE
In May-June I spent a month as an Artist-in-Resident at the Elsewhere
Artist Collaborative in Greensboro NC. A former thrift store, Elsewhere
is now a living art museum. Artists come and work with the thrift shop
remnants to create installations, performances, films and more.
During my residency I focused on stereoscopic animation and 3D

YIZKOR
In 2009 I created animation for Ruth Fertig's documentary, Yizkor.
This film is based on the memoirs of Ruth's grandmother, Safta, about
her experience during the Holocaust. The film combines Super 8 film,
