"Yizkor" is a documentary about a woman's struggle to keep herself and her children alive during the Holocaust. Directed by Ruth Fertig with animation by Jeanne Stern, it is based on the memoirs of Ruth's grandmother, Liselotte Fertig. Ruth Fertig combines Super 8 film, archival footage, and animation to tell her grandmother's story.

This is a sample of the animations I made for the documentary, with added music by Kaade Roberts (not included in the film). The full documentary is 24 minutes long.

Copies of the full film may be purchased for home or institutional use from the National Center for Jewish Film.
